Obituary of Lila Wilson

Lila Mae Wilson, 82, of Zion, IL, ( a Barton Senior Resident), and formerly of Melbourne, AR, died suddenly on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Lila was born May 14, 1930, in Libertyville, IL, and married her late husband, Ray Wilson on March 25, 1968, in Waukegan. She would knit slippers every year for the Barton Senior's residents. Lila also loved to crochet and play bingo. Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Jim) Smole of Beach Park, IL; grandsons, Seth (Amy) Smole of Lake Forest, IL, and Zachary (Natalie) Smole of Zion, IL; sister Joan Hoskins of Ft. Myers, FL; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; parents, Walter and Evelyn Meyer; brother, Lawrence "Red" Meyer and sister, Doris Vickers. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Ivanhoe Cemetery, Mundelein, IL. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
