Obituary of Alyce Kirkley

Alyce Kirkley, 77, of Beach Park, IL, died peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, WI. Alyce was born September 5, 1935, in Waukegan, IL, and was a 1953 graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School. She married Paul Kirkley on March 14, 1994. Alyce was employed by Eagle Foods for 30 years in the meat department. She was a member of the Waukegan Moose Lodge. Alyce was a kind and loving person to everyone she met and always wore a big smile. Survivors include her husband, Paul Kirkley; son, Aaron Kutchnik of Gilbert, AZ; sisters, Mary Lou Nelson of Park City, IL, Irene Farrand and Arlene Maze, both of Waukegan, IL. Also surviving are dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other dear relatives and friends. She especially loved the "boys" as she called them, four year old Mason and two year old, Carter. She was more than an Aunt, she was our "Auntie". You will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rachel Martinez; brother, Robert Martinez; sister, Sandy Benn; and nephews, Bobby Martinez and Shawn Patrick O'Reilly. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park, IL. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 9:00 a.m until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Hospice Alliance, Kenosha, WI.
