Obituary of Eva Vines

Eva M. Vines, 88, of Zion, IL, formerly of Waukegan, IL, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December, 17, 2011, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL. Eva was born March 22, 1923, in Wolf Lake, IL, and married Dan W. Vines on February 21, 1939,in Cape Girardeau, MO. She attended Beach Community Church in Beach Park. Eva worked for Warwick Electronics for 18 years and Cherry Electric in Waukegan for 6 years. She loved her children and grandchildren. Eva was excellent at crocheting and quilting. She loved to walk outdoors and really enjoyed watching birds. Survivors include her children, Jerry W. (Sandra) Vines of Waukesha, WI, Sandra K. (Gary) Post and Roger D. (Helen) Vines, both of Zion, IL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan W. Vines in 1988; all of her brothers and sisters; and her parents. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
