Obituary of Mariam Kelly

Mariam J. Kelley, age 79, of Winthrop Harbor, died on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL. Mariam was born May 14, 1933. She was a former employee of the Zion Post Office and then was retired Post Master of the Winthrop Harbor Post Office. Survivors include a son, James D. Brown of Kenosha, WI; daughter, Lisa Brown of Winthrop Harbor, IL; brother, Bob (Natalie) Jackson of Zion, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kelley; son Larry Brown; father and mother, Colin and Mamie Jackson; and three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion ,IL.
