Obituary of Keith Maguire

Keith Maguire, 76, of Winthrop Harbor, IL died on January 10, 2013. He was born August 8, 1936 in Waukegan. He served with the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. He retired from North Shore Sanitary District after 35 years. Keith was a member of Zion-Benton Moose, enjoyed riding his Harley and belonged to the N.R.A. but most of all he loved being with his family. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Andrea; children Angela (Harold) Sokup of Zion, IL, Katherine (John) Maguire of North Chicago, IL, and Jennifer (Ronald) Maguire of Winthrop Harbor, IL; his pride and joy granddaughter Samantha Sokup; one brother Kenneth (Judith) Maguire of Ripon, WI; two brothers-in-law Mike and Wally Alexonis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Judith (Robert) Levonowicz; and his parents Kenneth and Helene Maguire. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Memorial donations to Zion-Benton Moose have been suggested.
