Obituary of James Wilford

James Robert Wilford passed away following a long battle with cancer at the age of 76 at his home in Waukegan, IL with all his loving family by his side. He was born October 31, 1936 in Trenton, MO and moved to Lake County at the age of 19. He enjoyed woodworking, square dancing, gardening, fishing, and belonged to the Waukegan Moose Club. He retired in 1993 from Komatsu after 27 years. James will be deeply missed by his family. Survivors include his wife Roseann; daughters Becky (Steve) Shebesta, Melissa (Steve) Todd, and Jennifer (George) Hendricks; two step-daughters Deborah Wright and Patricia (Bill) O'Keefe; eight grandchildren Chris (Joey) Wilford, Justin Myers, Nicole (Rob Mennes) Roberts, Mike Shebesta, Matt Wilford, George J. R. Hendricks, Alec O'Keefe, and Samantha Hendricks; one great-granddaughter Cheyenne Myers; one brother Jack (Joyce) Wilford; and two nieces Sherri (Rob) Madrigal and Cyndi (Chris) Fuller. He was preceded in death by his first wife Gail; one grandson Kenny Roberts; two brothers Ronald Dean Wilford and Donald Ray Wilford; and his father and mother Roy and Lorene Wilford. Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2013, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m.
