Obituary of Franklin Crase

Franklin Thomas Crase, 79, of Zion, IL, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the United Medical Center in Kenosha, WI. Franklin was born January 20, 1933, in Iron River, WI, and married Carol K. Sandahl on August 3, 1963, in Iron River. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park where he often served as an usher. He retired from the Chrysler Company in Kenosha after 38 years of employment and also worked for the1st Savings and Loan in Zion for 17 years. Franklin was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Winthrop Harbor VFW and the Zion Moose. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and absolutely loved being with his entire family. Survivors include his sons, Roger (Judy) Crase of Round Lake Beach, IL, Randy (Fay) Crase and Frank (Tammy Jo) Crase, both of Zion, IL; grandchildren, Tiffany, Abigail, Brett, Ryan, and Eric Crase; great-grandchild, Hunter; brother, Mark (Judy) Crase of Brownsville, TX, sisters, Gerri (Mike) Geraci , Mary (Al) Schrank both of Milwaukee, WI, and Char (Ed) Laureys of Superior, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol in 2007; father and mother, Simon and Sarah Crase; brothers, Alvin, Bud, and Alfred; and sister, Joyce. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth, Rd., Beach Park, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
