Obituary of Alyce Pye

In loving memory of Alyce May Pye (Mericle). 10/4/29 - 12/22/07. Alyce passed away after a short illness at her home with loving family and friends to keep her company until her time to go home with the Lord. She will be missed greatly, but with lots of love and fond memories. She was a part of the Zion area all her life. She leaves behind one loving sister, Ruth Hallgren of Zion, Four beautiful and Loving children. Three sons Dan and Jan Pye (Butler) of Zion, Mike and Terrie Pye (Casteel) of Zion, Rob and Carol Pye (Turner) of Winthrop Harbor and one daughter, and bingo partner Patty Pollitt of Kenosha, Wi. One special member of the family Gomer (Jim Gober). Also left behind are 16 beautiful grandchildren and many, many great grandchildren. She will be missed by many friends at OLH bingo that were very dear to her. Thank You so much for all the wonderful years, WE LOVE YOU!!! Alyce was preceded in death by her mother and father Frank and Mildred Mericle, two brothers Bob and Dick Mericle and Donald Pye a husband and companion for many years. A personal service will be held for the immediate family at the prayer garden for Hope Ministries per her request. Thanks to everyone for all your prayers and kindness it was greatly appreciated.
