Obituary of Gail Farmer

Gail E. Farmer, 52, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, died on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan. Gail was born March 22, 1955 in Waukegan. For the past 2 1/2 years, Gail has resided at Arbor View Nursing Home in Zion where she was President of the residents association. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor where she served on the kitchen team and with the Church care ministry. She retired from St. Therese Hospital after 26 years. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Joel; three children Nichole, Brittany and Brian; five grandchildren TyShawn, Cole, Terray, Benjamin and GeAnna; her father and mother John & Betty Padilla of Waukegan; one brother John E. (Christy) Padilla of Apple Valley, California; and two nieces, who were like her daughters, Elizabeth and Rebecca Myrant both of Waukegan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Marie Myrant. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at 12:00 noon, at First Baptist Church, 3001 9th Street, Winthrop Harbor, with Dr. Michael Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to First Baptist Church, Care Ministry, has been suggested.
