Obituary of Vienna Leppen

Vienna E. Leppen (nee Niskala) slept away peacefully on December 15, 2007. She was born October 10, 1921 in Humboldt, Michigan, the loving daughter of the late Liisa Justina Niskala and Leander Niskala and the loving wife of the late Arthur L. "Lee" Leppen. Vi was a loving and caring individual throughout her lifetime. She lived in Waukegan throughout her married life, raising five boys, many dogs and cats, several grandchildren and enjoying a wealth of friends and family. Eventually she moved to Hawthorn Lakes in Vernon Hills where she was currently residing and enjoying life to its fullest. She is survived by her family, Corrine Leppen of Laurium, Michigan, Michael Leppen of Glencoe, Illinois, Robert and Joyce Leppen of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, Howard and Lori Leppen of Spring Grove, Illinois, David and Kristen Leppen of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Jeff and Jennifer Leppen of Syracuse, New York, Nicole Leppen of Chicago, Illinois, her sister Miriam Hoover of Glencoe, Illinois and her companions and friends, Rusty Raszkiewicz of Vernon Hills, Illinois and Laurie Paddock of Gurnee, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, nine sisters, three brothers, her husband Arthur L. Leppen and this year by her sons David L. Leppen and Donald H. Leppen. Visitation will by Tuesday, December 18, 2007, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19th, at 10:00 a.m. at First Apostolic Lutheran Church, 39372 Carol Lane, Beach Park, Illinois, with Pastor Jim Torola officiating.
