Obituary of Mary Bey

Mary Edna Bey was born on January 29, 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky to the union of Jessie and Mattie Vaughn. Mary departed this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Mary accepted Christ at an early age. She always possessed a motherly wisdom and helped others that were in need. Mary was united in holy matrimony to James Bey Jr. in 1942 and the union was blessed with twelve children. Mary ("Moye") was a dedicated wife and a loving mother to all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memories husband James Bey Jr, daughters Mattie Wiley and Mary King; sons Danny Bey, James Bey III, Trevor (Mary) Bey, Ronald Bey, Larry Bey, Jerry (Carol) Bey, and Greg Bey; a God son Ronald Jones; and a host of grandchildren, relatives, and many friends who loved her dearly. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Mattie Vaughn; brothers Ellee Vaughn and Rudolph Vaughn, a half brother George Hill; daughters Yvonne Reynolds and Joan Hunt; and son Michael Bey. Visitation will be held Wednesday November 20, 2007 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Word of Life Church, 10215 W. Beach Rd. Beach Park. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Apostle Dr. Ernest & Prophetess Dr. Barbara Taylor, officiating.
