Obituary of Bengt Nygren

Bengt "Ben" Nygren,71, of Beach Park, IL, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest. Ben was born April 4, 1936, in Malmo, Sweden, and married Sandra Musson on February 21, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was employed as an Executive Chef at many fine restaurants in Chicago and the surrounding area. Ben was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sandra; sons, Peter (Susan) Nygren of Kansas City, MO, and Eric (Amber) Nygren of Alaska; grandchildren, Emma, Charlie, and Ryan Capulong, and Alora Nygren; sister, Agneta (Per)of Sweden; brother, Gunnel (Jan) of Sweden; and numerous nephews and nieces . He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Tore and Svea Nygren; and brother, Rolf Nygren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion. Friends may greet the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1200 , Chicago, IL 60601 are suggested.
