Obituary of Gregory Tyra

Greg L. Tyra Greg L. Tyra, 43, of Winthrop Harbor, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Greg was born December 10, 1963, in Waukegan, Il, and lived in Winthrop Harbor all of his life. He was a graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor. Greg worked as a truck mechanic for numerous firms. He was a loving son and father and loved working on cars and being with his friends. Survivors include a son Quincy L. Tyra of Winthrop Harbor; daughter, Tiffany Dawn Kries of Chicago, Il; father and mother, Ora Lee Tyra and Ruby Tyra of Winthrop Harbor; numerous cousins; and friends, Tom Angelo and Chester Zawada A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Pastor Dr. Rob Whitworth of Meadowridge Baptist Church of Zion, officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Sunday, October 28, 2007, from 5:00-8:00 p.m at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family for his son would be appreciated.
