Obituary of Charles Duthorn

Charles W. "Chuck" Duthorn, 63, of Zion, died on Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion. Chuck was born June 3, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA, and married Josephine Ongyod in 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He retired from the United States Navy as a Master Chief in 1988, and then worked as an instructor at Great Lakes Naval Base. Chuck was a member of the Winthrop Harbor VFW and the Fleet Reserve Association. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Chuck is survived by his wife of 21 years, Josephine; daughter, Diane (Clifford) Ubana of Hainesville, IL; grandchildren, Nathaniel Paul and Brandon Chase Ubana; brothers, Garth (Denise) Morrison, Eddie (Gerri) Duthorn, Walt (Carol) Morrison, Jeff (Carolyn) Morrison, and John Morrison, all of Calfiornia; sisters, Peggy (Terry) Perron, Bonnie (Reid) Patten, and Chris Morrison, also all of California; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and mother A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
