Janet, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I'm so happy that I had a chance to see you again after so many years and to talk with you and Ron in the hospital. It brought back so many memories. May the Lord bless you and keep you. We just have to remember that Ron is in a better place without pain now. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Always your friend. Mary Kay Simms

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you, Janet, and to your family. Although miles kept us apart, my thoughts of the two of you are often. Lots of happy memories of Duane and I visiting. Going skiing and going to the cabin, falling in Love and meeting relatives for the first time. Never having that chance without Grandpa. The cross-country trip from Spring Valley to Zion. These are the memories I have and will cherish the rest of my life. Without having a background in religion, I can't stop believing that He's in a better place now and is comforting to know that we will meet again. My deepest sincere, Lisa, Kevin, Connor & Ryan

Ron was very important to me a young man, he was a strong leader in our Boy Scout Troop 68. He taught us a lot, including how to construct and start a bon fire. After he retired from scouting his name lived on. Every time time we built a bon fire we called it a Wesenberg. I will miss him dearly. God Speed. Eddie Stutz

Like so many others, I have fond memories of "Mr. Wesenberg" from my years in Boy Scout Troop 68. Our troop's activities provided life-long memories for me, and the leadership that both Ron Wesenberg and Eero Helin demonstrated impacted countless lives. In my mind, I will forever think of Ron Wesenberg as "Woodman", his official nickname in the troop and his CB "handle" (The name came from his striking resemblance in both countenance and demeanor to the character Mr. Woodman from the '70's TV show "Welcome Back Kotter". I wish Ron's family and friends comfort during this time of grief. Jim Zradicka
