Obituary of Frank Yuhase

Frank G. Yuhase, 86, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, Illinois. Frank was born May 12, 1920 in Henderson, Kentucky and lived in Waukegan all of his life. Early on he served with the Civilian Conservation Corps, mainly in Oregon. After that he served with the National Guard and then served with the United States Army during World War II, having served five years in the South Pacific and at Guadalcanal. He retired in 1985 from Johnson Outboards after 38 years. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, June; children Sandra (Bruce) Boreen of Richmond, Illinois, Gary Yuhase of Beach Park, Illinois and Lori (Dean) Ashton of Beach Park, Illinois; four grandchildren Scott (Agnes) Clark, Sarah Yuhase, Ian Ashton and Hannah Ashton; one great-granddaughter Annamarie Clark; one sister Anna Rogelstad of East Rochester, New York; and several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas, in 1969; one sister Francis Underwood; one brother Joseph Yuhase; two infant siblings William and Nancy; and his parents Frank George Yuhase Sr. and Olga Mary (nee Hulse) Yuhase. A cemetery graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial contributions to your favorite charity have been suggested.
