Obituary of Rachel Creamer

Rachel Creamer (nee Behymer), 90, of Zion, died on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Arbor View Nursing Home in Zion. Rachel was born October 20, 1916, in Decatur, IL. She worked at Walgreens in Waukegan for 20 years and retired from Victory Memorial Hospital (Vista Medical Center East) in Waukegan after 10 years of employment. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Hughes; granddaughter, Cathy (Louis) Rowe; grandsons, Randy (Kay) Hughes, and Rickey (Linda) Hughes; great grandchildren, Christina Galgan, Zac Schrader, Elliott Hughes, Rick Hughes, Matt Hughes, John Hughes, Joey Hughes, Angela Sutton, Amy Warren and Sarah Maclagan; nine great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Lou (Tom) Mayberry. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harzie Creamer; parents, Alfred and Pansy Behymer; brother, Ted Behymer; sisters, Alberta Barnell, Roma White, Connie Brown; son-in-law, Robert Hughes Sr., and grandson, Robert Hughes Jr. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Pastor Michael Brown of the First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor officiating. Interment will follow at Pine View Memorial Park, Beach Park, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
