Obituary of Evangeline Fox

Evangeline "Vangie" Fox, 81, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Vista Medical Center East with her family by her side. Vangie was born September 13, 1925 in Waukegan. She was a member of the Zion Senior Citizens Club. She loved her children and grandchildren as well as children of all ages all over town. Survivors include her children Rochelle Dayton (friend Walter Hatcher) of Zion, Barbara (friend Johnny Stirnichuk) Schroth of Waukegan, Mary Ellen (Ken) Anderson of Winthrop Harbor, Al (Cathy) Fox of Winthrop Harbor, George (Cori) Fox of Racine, Wisconsin and Cindy (Dave) McMackin of Zion; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother William (Evelyn) LaBelle of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one sister Carlene (Leon) Zumalt of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Fox Sr.; two brothers Boyd (Wilma) LaBelle and Warren LaBelle; parents Calvin and Fern LaBelle; and step-father Donivan Fruitigar. Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2007, from 10:00 until 12:00 noon at North Point Community Church, 900 N. Lewis Avenue, Winthrop Harbor. Funeral services will also be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon at the church with Pastor Dennis Corley officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to North Point Community Church have been suggested.
