Obituary of Syble Frederick

Syble Faye Frederick, 79, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Monday, November 5, 2007 at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center in Lindenhurst, Illinois. She was born March 26, 1928 in Tremont, Mississippi. She was in her twenties when she moved to the Zion area to work at the Zion Candy Factory. Later she was employed as a waitress for Fossland's Restaurant and Hi-Way Lunch in Zion, which later became Lakeview Restaurant. She was a former member of Women of the Moose of Zion-Benton Moose, where she enjoyed playing bingo. She also belonged to the J-M Club in Waukegan, Illinois. She loved fishing and watching the deer at the State Park and she was an avid gardener. Survivors include her daughter Bobbie Frederick of Beach Park; her son Kelly (Sandra) Frederick of Zion; three grandchildren Kara and Randall Frederick and Allison Temple; one brother J.P. (Frances) Pate of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband William Ray Frederick; siblings Marvin Pate, Dehli Adair, Mertie Mauldin, Marlin Pate, D.C. Pate, B.C. Pate, Cleveland Pate and Pauline Hall; and her parents Moman Pate and Alice (nee Sanderson) Pate. Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2007, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at the Congdon Funeral Home on Monday, November 12th, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
