Obituary of John Etteldorf

John H. Etteldorf, 71, of Waukegan, Illinois, died on Monday, February 12, 2007 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. John was born January 8, 1936 in Racine, Wisconsin, moving to Mundelien in 1962 and later to Waukegan. He served with the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1958, and was stationed in England. Survivors include his two daughters, Arlene Rooney of Racine, Wisconsin and Laura (Wayne) Wypych of Waukegan, Illinois; three grandchildren Cheyenne, Becky and Christopher; three great-grandchildren Raven, Sierra and Gabriel; and two sisters Bernice Sell of Alabama and Joyce McQueen of Washington. He was preceded in death by one son, Floyd H. Etteldorf in 1993; siblings Virginia and Rick; and parents John and Anna Etteldorf. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2720 N. McAree Road, Waukegan, with Pastor John Shumate officiating. Memorial donations to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church have been suggested.
