Obituary of Dorothy Bloxsom

Dorothy (Johnson) Bloxsom, 84, of Pinellas Park, Florida, formerly of Winthrop Harbor, Il, passed away on January 15, 2007, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dorothy was born February 28, 1922, in Elbing, Kansas to Oscar and Lela Scillian, and was a teacher in the Winthrop Harbor School System for over 30 years before retiring and moving to Florida in 1985. She is survived by two sons, Anton (Marlyce) Johnson of Greenfield, Wisconsin and Philip Johnson of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and Sarasota, Florida; three sisters, Greta Green ,Lou(Harold ) Schroeder, and Billie Miller; and three grandchildren, Pamela, Eric, and Brian Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Fred Johnson, and Lawrence Bloxsom; and a brother, Glenn Scillian. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion. Prior to the service a visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interment is private for the family.
