Obituary of Rita Hewkin

Rita M. Hewkin, 65, of Zion, Illinois passes away while surrounded by her family March 24, 2024.

Rita was born September 27, 1958 in Benton, Illinois. She went to school to become a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) before starting her career at the Winchester House for 32 years. 

Rita is survived by her children, Jason Hewkin, Jeramie Hewkin, and Brandy Haak; grandchildren, Cody, Emma, Eli, Leon, and Lucka.

Rita was proceeded in death by her husband Donald M. Hewkin; brothers, James, Clifford, John, and Richard Whittington.

Per Rita's wishes, no funeral services will be held. However, we do encourage family and friends to share a memory of Rita on her tribute wall.
