Obituary of Connie Lou Hanna
Connie Lou Hanna, age 75 of Kenosha, WI, died on Monday March 11, 2024 at Grand Prairie Nursing facility after a long battle with kidney failure.
Connie was born October 7, 1948 in Eldorado, Illinois to Willam Carroll and Jean (Casey) Nash. Where she lived with her family until they moved to Lake County.
She married John Rantanen in 1966 and together they raised their son John Eric Rantanen until their divorce. Connie was a loving mother to her son. She loved spending time with her friends and coworkers. She was employed as an Inventory Analyst at International Harvester (Komatsu) for over 30 years, and also at Cardinal Health until her retirement. She later married Robert Hanna in 1986 and they lived together in Lake County Illinois until their divorce. She had many interests including gardening, antiquing, attending estate and thrift sales, reading, and cooking. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She loved to entertain especially at her taco parties. Connie was a longtime member of the Zion Moose Lodge #667. Her son Johnny and grandchildren meant the world to her.
Connie is survived by her granddaughter Vanessa Rantanen; great-grandchildren Izaen, Zeven, Ava; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, William Carroll Casey and Jean (Casey) Nash; step-father, Matthew “Ray” Nash; son, John Rantanen; brother, Kenneth Casey; sister, Carolyn Halvorsen; sister-in-law, Laura Casey.
A celebration of life and luncheon will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 from 2-6pm at the Zion Benton Moose Lodge #667- 41517 N Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099.
