Obituary of Beatrice Idleburg

Beatrice Idleburg, of Zion, Illinois passed away on March 2, 2024 in Lake Forest, Illinois. She was born September 19, 1937 in Moss Point, Mississippi to parents John Andrews and Gladys Daily.

Beatrice previously lived in Norcross, Georgia. She graduated High School in Chicago, Illinois. She married her late husband, John D. Idleburg Sr., in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Beatrice attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Zion, Illinois and was also a member of the Eastern Stars as well as the MotherBoard of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Beatrice worked at Sunset Foods in Lake Forest, Illinois before her retirement.

Beatrice is survived by her children, John D. (Pamela) Idleburg Jr., Diane Reed, Donald Idleburg, Leonard Idleburg, Nancy Collins, and Christopher Hughes. She leaves to cherish her memories, 24 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Maggie Tyler, Geraldine Dailey, Henry Andrews, and Rev. James R. Andrews; as well as a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
 

She was preceded in death by her Husband, John D. Idleburg Sr.; daughter, Cheryl Thomas; father, John Andrews; mother, Gladys Dailey; sisters, Helen McDay, Patricia Reed, and Elizabeth Andrews; and brothers, John Andrews and Leon Lee Dailey.
