Obituary of Ellen LaBelle
Ellen Mae LaBelle passed away to her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Ellen was born on March, 31, 1945, in Cassian, Wisconsin. Her parents were the late Francis and Gertrude Hanson. The family moved to Zion, Illinois when Ellen was 6 years old where she attended Zion area schools.
Ellen married Larry LaBelle on August 20, 1966 and lived in Beach Park, Illinois, where they raised their two sons, eventually settling in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Ellen was the current Office Manager and Dispensary Team Leader at Vision Care Associates, Grayslake, Illinois. She was employed there for almost 54 years at the time of her death. Yearly, Ellen attended AOA Conferences to keep required certificates current.
Ellen had a true servant's heart, and was a great role model, who showed love for others and love for Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Ellen loved to read her Bible and pray daily.
Ellen was a great cook and loved to share her food dishes and recipes. For many years, she headed up and cooked for church potlucks, showers, banquets and many family gatherings. She made it look easy and enjoyed teaching others how to cook. Ellen also loved to travel, taking vacations to most of the states with her family. She made many trips up north throughout the years, visiting aunts, uncles, cousins. One of her favorite things while there was playing cards and especially winning. Ellen loved to do puzzles. The more challenging the puzzle, the better. But most fulfilling to Ellen was being involved in her family's lives, the highlight of her day.
Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly by all.
