Obituary of Mary Kimble
Mary Jean Kimble, affectionately known as Ollie. Was one of five children born to Hairthona (H.K) Kimble and Mary Opal Kimble (Conner) on March 12,1963. She was called home on February 14, 2024. Surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her home.
At an early age, Mary found Christ and remained steadfast in her beliefs throughout her life. She gave Christ the glory in all things and instilled the same beliefs and faith in her children. Even in sickness, her love of God never wavered and she proclaimed her faith until the very end. Mary was a hardworking employee of Abbott Laboratories for over 30 years. Beginning her career working third shift as a labeler and retiring as a Documentation Clerk/Process Design Author.
Mary also embraced her role as a devoted matriarch, fostering enduring connections with her family and friends. Her unwavering love and loyalty defined her presence, and was complemented by a passion for music and a love of cooking Southern cuisine. Her bright smile and beautiful voice will truly be missed and forever remembered.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Whitney Hych of Park City, IL; her son, Quitney (Elisa) Hych of Nashville, TN; her sister, Roeshell (Willie) Kimble of Pittsboro MS. Three loving aunts; Martha Williams, Joann Glaspie, and Robbie Myers all of Zion, IL. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friendships.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; both maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Elma Ree Duff; two brothers, Larry Wayne Kimble and Jimmy Earl Kimble; and one niece, Belinda Kimble.
Funeral service will take place on Saturday February 24, 2024 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3109 Gilead Ave, Zion, Illinois at 11:00am. Visitation to take place at 10:00am until time of service. Interment to follow at Mt Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
