Obituary of Lloyd Tyra

Lloyd Tyra, 60, of Beach Park, IL, passed away on February 14, 2024 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Lloyd was born August 31, 1963 in Waukegan, IL. He was employed as a truck driver and was a member of Teamsters Local 301.

Lloyd was a biker and lived by the motto, “ Live to ride, Ride to live”. He was a collector of many things, loved tinkering in the garage, and driving around, sightseeing  with nowhere to go with his daughter.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Regina Tyra; children, Kyle and Nicole Tyra; his beloved pets, Thugs the pug and Pistol the cat; mother, Ann Ruth Tyra; sister, Diana Mundstock; nephew, Jacob Mundstock; and great niece, Olivia; great nephew, Jaxson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Malcom Tyra; and brother in law, Jack Mundstock.

Lloyd loved to ride motorcycles and his daughter wanted friends to do the same to remember her dad. A celebration of life will be held later in April so friends may ride to the venue. Both a venue and date for celebration will be determined by lifelong friend Joan Cowart.
