Our condolences to Wally’s family. Wally was my dad’s best friend in high school. I remember my family visiting Wally, Pat, Tim and Tina a few times when we were kids growing up. Fast forward and my hubby, Rob, ended up working with Wally and Tim at Reed Randell Ford. He was so nice and always had a smile. RIP Wally

It was a privilege to know Wally and Pat for over 30 years. So many wonderful memories of them both. I know he was devastated when he lost Pat it broke his heart but now they are both resting and waiting for the resurrection when they will be in perfect health and young again. I can’t imagine how crazy fun Wally will be when that happens.
We always had fun and interesting times in the ministry especially doing the cart work at the gas stations in the heat! Why did he never look hot?
He cared and loved people fiercely and as a brother and elder he always checked up on you and opened his big heart. During sad times he would let his tears flow because he couldn’t stand to see anyone in pain or suffering. Maybe all he could do at that time was give you a hug but he always showed up. When my daughter was sick with cancer all he could do is cry on my front porch which gave me permission to let some of my held back tears to flow, it was just want I needed.
Of course we bought a car from Wally! We needed a second car and he told him to come by cause he had a cool red one for him and cracked up when a little Red Ford Wagon came around the corner. My husband laughed and said “ Really Wally you want me to drive that thing? We loved that car it was like a mini pickup truck! He knew what we really needed.
Till I see you again Wally and Pat I will miss you and keep an eye out and prayers for all your dear family and friends whose hearts are breaking
Love you my brother and friend

Wally was one of my Dads good friends throughout highschool and was the best man at my parents wedding. My mom has fond memories of him as a young man. I think that my dad was was also in Wally and Patricia’s wedding. When car shopping one year I stopped at a dealership and started a conversation with a salesman. Before you knew it, we figured out we were both both from the same town of Zion. Well, he asked me my last name, and I gave him my maiden name then my married name he instantly knew my maiden name, and began the story about my dad and him being great friends growing up. About a month later I got a knock at my front door and there was Wally holding a rolled up giant picture of a car exactly like my 2004 Thunderbird from dealership. He said I needed it for my garage wall. It has been displayed on my garage wall ever since that day we had it framed. My dad had already passed away when I met Wally at the dealership that day, and when he learned, he stopped by my mom‘s house and visited with her. Such a kind and gentle soul. My mom sends her love to the family. Sincerely.Eva McElmurry and Jodi McElmurry-Petree Family

Sending prayers to Wally's family. My husband worked with Wally at Reed Randle for many years....and we always went through him to buy our cars....even though it was a joke between us that every car he sold us got wrecked in an accident! He really was an awesome guy with a great sense of humor and he will be missed.
