As a former teacher and Union leader at Zion-Benton Township High School I always appreciated working with Doug. He was caring and compassionate toward both students and staff and I always thought of him as fair. He was unique as an administrator who, in spite of the pressures he felt, would work hard to find fair solutions to the various problems we had to work through. Doug had a sense of humor which added to his ability to work with others and I, along with many others I know, very much enjoyed working with him. Condolences to his family and Rest in Peace.
