Obituary of Pearlie Baldy

Pearlie Ozell Baldy, 91, of Zion, IL, passed away on December 24, 2023 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL.

Pearlie was born on September 13, 1932 in Haleyville, Alabama. She was a devoted, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. As a Christian, Pearlie loved the Lord Jesus. She loved listening to music and encouraged her sons in their music endeavors. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Pearlie was proud to receive her GED, work for and retire from Abbott Laboratories, and own and operate Nails by Pearl home business as a licensed nail technician.

Pearlie is survived by her son, Jerry (Risa) Baldy and granddaughter, Courtney Baldy; her son, Larry (Sherri) Baldy and grandchildren, Joshua Hutcherson, Courtney Bua, Brittney Wright, Kyler Pinoli; great grandchildren, Sophia Hutcherson, Miles Hutcherson, Blakely Bua, Noah Bua, Giselle Bua, Lux Wright and Phoenix Wright; sister, Judy Bennett; brothers, Gene (Noreen) Lewis & James (Rosemary) Lewis.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Billie D. Baldy; parents, Lemey and Gladys Berry Lewis; brother, Bud Lewis; sisters, Donnie Edith Rice, Leola Hall and Tiny Dempsey. 

Visitation will be held on Friday December 29, 2023 at 10:00am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL.
