First of all to Darcy's family and all of her friends and every single person that she knew, so very sorry with your loss.. this came as a complete shock as we were just at city of hope beginning of December for our monthly follow ups with my doctors.. My wife and I have known Darcy for almost 8 years know.. She was an amazing, wonderful, strong woman who was always smiling when we entered the hospital on our visits.. she has touched many people's lives, especially mine for all she has done to help us along our journey of this rough life that some of us have to endure. she was certainly one of a kind and she will be forever missed in our hearts.. and I'm so sorry.. I didn't hear about this very saddening news until yesterday morning, when I mentioned her name to one of the staff.. that's when I heard.. I'm devastated .. my heart goes out to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing this amazing woman..

Darcy started as a coworker, who became a friend, who became like family. She was the type of person to always put others before herself and make sure everyone had what they needed. Always happy to help and give advice when asked. She quickly became my “work mom” and she will never be replaced. I will forever be grateful that I got to know Darcy and that my children got to know her too. She will truly be missed by everyone.

Darcy was my dearest friend at CTCA where my husband was a patient for over 7 months. Darcy was my confidante, my shoulder to cry on and a hug just when I needed it most. We were in Zion (from Kentucky) on Dec 14th and was sad she wasn't there. Little did we know that we wouldn't get to see her again this side of Heaven. She was a remarkable and wonderful lady who I loved dearly.

I will miss Darcy so much. I enjoyed working with her. I will miss hearing her say at the end of her shift, so your here tomorrow and I would say yes. She would say, see u tomorrow. I will miss her so much. If I could hear her say that one more time. She was our Mama bear. Very Protective. Wished we had more time so us girls could do that lunch. I'm so sorry for your loss. I have been at CTCA for 7yrs Darcy was the consistent that I always looked for she knew my name every time & ALWAYS had a warm smile. To me being stage 4 cancer and coming alone that brought me a calmness and since I come so often it brought so much peace. Please know her job was a Ministry & beautiful act of kindness everyday to us. I will miss her & pray that God brings a peace & comfort to your family. Thank you for allowing her to be a small, yet beautiful part of our journey in the cancer world.
