Obituary of Charles "Chuck" J. Diliberti
Charles “Chuck” J. Diliberti, 75, of Wadsworth, IL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the majority of his family on December 17, 2023.
Chuck was born June 24, 1948 in Chicago, IL. He married Karen Lee on February 27, 1970. Chuck found his calling in security work for various companies and eventually retired from Heather Ridge Security. He served 20 years of volunteering with Zion ESDA and was an avid Chicago sports fan who lived and died for the Cubs. While he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards, and was always up for going to breakfast, what Chuck cherished the most was any time he could spend with his family and friends.
Chuck is survived by his wife and best friend, Karen; children, Adam (Theresa) Diliberti, Kimberly (Juan) Luna; grandchildren, Tyler (Natalie) Luna, Sophia and Karlina Luna, Isabella and Dominic Diliberti; great-grandchild, Beckham Charles Luna; sister, Maryellen Colby.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and June Diliberti; and brothers, Jack and Joseph Diliberti
Celebration of Chuck’s life will be held January 5, 2024 from 4:30 to 8:00pm at the Winthrop Harbor Community Center at 1520 7th Street, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois 60096. As a die-hard Cubs fan who also was fighting diabetes, in lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.org or the Ron Santo Foundation which is devoted to diabetic alert dogs at www.ronsantofoundation.com/donate.
