Obituary of Joan Zwicke

Joan Zwicke, 69, of Zion, Illinois passed away December 3, 2023 at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital surrounded by her friends and family.

Joan was born December 10, 1953 in Elmhurst, IL. She was married to Keith for 51 years. They first married on September 19, 1972 in Elpaso, Texas. After a short separation of 10 months, Joan and Keith remarried in 1982 at their church of Our Lady of Humility in Zion, IL. Joan worked as a school bus driver for many years before getting a job at Sam’s Club until her health started to decline.

Joan is survived by her husband, Keith Zwicke; children, Cameron and Shawn Zwicke; grandchildren, Sawyer Zwicke, and brother, Bernard Heiny.

Joan is preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Ann Langcamp, Marion Heiny Jr., Marjorie Johnson, Roger Heiny, and Ronnie Heiny.  

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday December 15, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00P.M. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois with a memorial service to follow after.
