Obituary of Larry L Vasquez

Larry Lee Carl Vasquez, 79, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on November 14, 2023.

Larry was born on January 13, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a former member of Calvary Temple. Larry retired in 2013 after 50 years at Komatsu, formally known as International Harvester, formally known as Frank G. Hough Company.

Larry was loyal, honest, strong, knowledgeable, kind and extremely generous. He truly lived for his family.

Larry is survived by his children, Roxanne (Mike) Towner and Jerry (Theresa) Vasquez; grandchildren, Nolan (Shena) Bohner, Amber (Paddy) Morris, Nathan Chapa, Zachary Vasquez, Madelynn Vasquez, Trey Vasquez, Mallory Vasquez, and Chloe Vasquez; great grandchildren, Irissa, Timothy, and Tyler Morris; brother, Dean (Patricia) Vasquez; sister, Vicki Beaufoy; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his former wife, Violet Roti; son, Larry Jr.; parents, Lee and Lila; brother, Don; sister, Velvalee; and his significant other of 33 years, Donna Box. 

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois. Memorial service will begin at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Salvation Army.
