Obituary of Nancy K. McCarley

Nancy K. McCarley, 94, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away on July 17, 2023 in Zion, Illinois. She was born on February 15, 1929 in Vina, Alabama the daughter of James and Linnie (McKinnie) Jackson.

Nancy married Louis McCarley on July 29, 1944 in Mississippi. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and retired from Victory Memorial Hospital. Family was important to her, including her church family.

Nancy is survived by her children, Louis R. McCarley, James R. (Sue) McCarley, M. Patricia (David) O’Rear, Stephen J. (Loretta) McCarley, and Jennifer A. McCarley; grandchildren, Jason McCarley, Brian McCarley, Jolie Hook, Aaron McCarley, Marcus McCarley, Brandi Downs, Brad Royce, Leah Royce, and Barnaby Royce; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Cullen Jackson of Filmore, IL, Evonne Flaherty of Kenosha, WI, Margie Carter of Decatur, AL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis McCarley; grandchildren, Thomas O’Rear, Matthew Royce; great-grandchildren, Tommy Downs, and Nicholas O’Rear.

Services will be held privately at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, Illinois
