Obituary of Margie La Plante

Margie E. La Plante, 91, of Zion, died on Monday, December 4, 2006, at the Arbor View Nursing Home in Zion. She was born, December 22, 1914, in Hammond, Indiana, and came to Zion in 1945 where she resided the remainder of her life. Margie was a loving mother and cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved reading, traveling, crocheting, and also enjoyed oil painting. Margie was a former volunteer for the Arbor View Nursing Home. Survivors include five children, Charles (Diane) Neahous of Gurnee, IL, Mary Ann (Grady) Peacock of Colorado, Susan Krause of Kenosha, WI, David (Joann) Dangwillo of Indio, CA, and Glenn (Phyllis) Neahous of Pleasant Prairie, WI; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren , three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd (Betty) Stoner of Fox River Grove, IL; a sister, Eva Wright of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and many loving nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by a son, John Neahous. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Visitation will be Thursday from1:00 p.m. until the time service at the funeral home. Interment will be private for the family.
