Obituary of Edna M. Spooner

Edna M. Spooner 92, of Beach Park, Illinois formerly of Port Huron, Michigan passed away peacefully June 6, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Edna was born January 15, 1931, in Port Huron, the second daughter of the late Russell and Betty Spooner. After graduating from Port Huron High School Edna found her dream job working at the Port Huron Credit Bureau for over 42 years. She loved her job and throughout her amazing career she developed life lasting friendship with the owners and several co-workers.

After retiring in 1996 Edna dedicated her life to caring for her very special niece Jackie. She moved to Beach Park, Illinois in 2006 so Jackie could be closer to her family. Edna cherished her cooking books and was an avid cook with also included amazing desserts, often hosting and entertaining parties with friends. She especially enjoyed entertaining and decorating her home on holidays.

Edna is survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Thomas Schofield, brothers Robert and Donald Spooner, sisters Violet Platzer and Joyce Clark.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 11:00-1:00 pm. At Pollock-Randell Funeral Home 912 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron, MI. Interment will immediately follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron, MI.
