Obituary of David Maxwell
David Ray Maxwell,(affectionately known as "D-Max"), 21, of Waukegan, died on Saturday, September 1, 2007, in a swimming accident at Carol Beach in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
David was born December 17, 1985, in Union City, Indiana, and was a graduate of Waukegan High School. He attended Columbia College in Chicago, and was also enrolled at the College of Lake County. David was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waukegan. His passions were his family, friends, and his band, "Avigilante". David considered life a great adventure.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Maxwell of Waukegan; father, Max Maxwell of Round Lake Beach; sisters, Maggie Maxwell of Waukegan and Tonya Maxwell of Oklahoma; brothers, Jim Maxwell of Texas and Mark (Vadona) Maxwell of Arkansas; grandfather and grandmother, Ray and Peggy Griffin of Union City, Indiana; uncle and aunt, Kevin and Sue Highfield of Spring, Texas; cousins, Katie and Annie Highfield; and extended family .
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ruby Roberts.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Waukegan, 128 N. Martin Luther King, Dr., Waukegan. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Stiner Pavilion at the Waukegan Municipal Beach with Rev. William Owen and Rev. Omar Logan officiating.( A picnic will follow and please bring your own lawn chair.)
