Obituary of Chad Stevens

Chad Robert Stevens, 26, of Chicago, formerly of Winthrop Harbor, IL, left this life suddenly on December 3, 2006 in Chicago. Chad was born October 18, 1980 to Laura and Tim Stevens. He attended Winthrop Harbor grade schools, graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1998 and went on to receive his Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois in 2002. He was employed as a construction manager with Tolan Construction. Though his time with us was short, he gave us 26 years of joy and laughter. He will be remembered for his amazing sense of humor and his quick wit. He is survived by his parents, Laura and Tim; and his best friend and brother, Nick, all of Winthrop Harbor; grandparents, Pat and Marcia Cunningham of Oakland, AR and Jim and Carolyn Stevens of Zion; aunts, Colleen Cunningham of Waukegan and Jennifer (Don) Cunningham of Winthrop Harbor; uncles, Mike (Sandy) Cunningham of Augusta, GA. Tom Stevens of Zion and Tracy (Claudia) Stevens of North Chicago; his special friend, Jen Webber of Chicago; and a host of other family and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 6 until 9 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006, at 10:30 AM at the Congdon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
