Obituary of Patricia Stenman

Patricia J. Stenman, 81, of Zion, IL died on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Patricia was born February 4, 1930 in Racine, WI and lived in Zion most of her life. She was a graduate of Holy Child High School in Waukegan and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wadsworth. Patricia retired in the early 1990's from Abbott Labs. She served as Zion Jubilee Days Queen in 1949 and more recently was a member of the Hardy Hikers of Zion. Survivors include her children Kathy (Jeff) Rose of Evanston, IL, Cindy (Perry) Perez of Grayslake, IL, and Becky Stenman of Zion; three grandchildren Devin and Eric Rose and Charlie Perez; and one sister Lois Freeman of Kenosha, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Stenman in 1966; her beloved grandson Samuel Perez in 2005; one sister Donna Swetor; and her parents Joseph and Blanche Swetor. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, November 17, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to Save-A-Pet, P.O.Box 266, Grayslake, IL 60030 have been suggested.
