Obituary of Regina Chattard

Regina Lucette Chattard (Richard) was born May 23, 1963 in Evanston, IL. She is the eldest daughter of Louis Eldridge Chattard II from New Orleans, LA and Elizabeth Chattard (Husdon) from Evanston, IL. Regina was called home Friday, January 13, 2023 in Kenosha, WI. 

Regina attended Zion Benton Township High School (Class of 81) where she developed lifelong friendships. Regina, the matriach of her family, loved reading (autobiographies and true crime) and spending all her time with her grandchildren (whom she gave creative nicknames too). Regina was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who was full of life. She was smart, funny, loveable, generous and would open her home to anyone in need. 

In 1981, Regina married her high school sweetheart Edward Cato Jr. with whom she shares one daughter with (Nichelle). Regina went onto to marry the love of her life Albert Richard Sr. in 1995, with whom she had four daughters with (Dominique, Cheyenne, Alexis and Taylor).

Regina was proceeded in death by; her mother; Elizabeth (1933-1991), her father; Louis (1925-1994), her daughter; Alexis Nicole Richard (1995) and her husband; Albert Richard Sr. (1963-2012). 

She is survived and deeply missed by her two brothers; Louis Chattard III of Wisconsin, Robert Chattard Sr. of Minnesota, one sister; Kimberly (Elisha) Williams of Texas, four daughters; Nichelle Cato of Illinois, Dominique (Calvin) Hearton of Illinois, Cheyenne Richard of Wisconsin and Taylor Chattard of Illinois. 

Forever cherished and remembered by; one grandson; Kai James and three granddaughters; Camilla Cooper, Phoenix Hearton and Caliyah Cooper.

Her memory lives on within her; six nieces; Jasmine Chattard, Yasmine Williams, Kayla Chattard, Monique Williams, Deja Chattard and Jordan Chattard and two nephews; Robert Chattard Jr. and Markus Williams, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
