Obituary of Olean Dove

Olean Dove, 84, of Zion, IL, died on Wednesday, November 15 , 2006, at Arbor View Nursing Home, in Zion. Olean was born September 29, 1922 in Fulton, MS, and married Carl Dove on June 23, 1940, in Itawamba County, Mississippi. She was retired from the old Zion Cookie Factory where she had worked for more than 20 years. Olean was a member of the Meadowridge Baptist Church in Zion. She loved flowers and gardening; enjoyed reading, and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Survivors include one son, Jim (Joyce) Dove of Nixa, Missouri; one daughter, Patricia (Bill ) Brown of Beach Park, IL; five grandchildren, Regina (Brian) Woods of Beach Park, IL, Anita Concepcion of Kenosha, WI, Eric (Diana) Dove of Ozark, MO, Sonja (Mike) Breuer of Nixa, MO, and Trent Brown of New Orleans, LA. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Lecil and Roger Pierce of Mississippi; two sisters, Mozella Aldridge and Varnell Jones, both of Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Pastor Rob Whitworth of Meadowridge Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
