Obituary of Joe Robison

Joe Robison went to be home with the Lord on January 18, 2023. He was born, January 11, 1945, in Pensacola, FL. He lived on the family farm in Mississippi until they moved North when he was 8. He graduated ZBTHS in 1963 and married Marilyn Mauldin January 16, 1965. He retired from climbing poles for Commonwealth Edison in 1995. He loved family, bowling, old Chevrolets and playing with “the puppies” on the porch. He loved and was loved. We will miss his smile that shone in his eyes and all the memories he loved to share with us and everyone he met. He never met a stranger.

Joe is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of 58 years. His son Jody, daughter Jennifer (Dan) Litewski, sister Nance Miller, brother-in-law Larry (Shirl) Mauldin, many nieces and nephews, cousins Archie Lee Scott, Virginia Ree (Riley) Palmer and Patricia Ann Lindsey.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Lon and Faye, brothers-in-law Kenneth Miller and Benny Mauldin as well as his son Jason Robison.

Memorials in Joe’s honor can be given to the Winthrop Harbor Fire Department.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL.
