Obituary for Betty Jane Tentes

Lifelong resident of Waukegan, Betty, 96, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2023.
Betty was born on March 7, 1926 to Charles and Helen Flitcroft.
She is preceded in death by her husband James P Tentes in 2013.
She was extremely passionate about her faith and her church. Betty was an active member of Saint
Marks, Lutheran Church, serving on the women’s club, and a very active member of the church choir.
As a member of many groups and social organizations, Betty loved playing cards with her friends and
family. She loved to host, picnics all Summer Long, where she could engage in her passion, which was
cooking and entertaining.
One of the highlights of Betty’s career was working as a travel agent, and being able to travel the world.
You could always count on her to bring back souvenirs along with great tales of her adventures.
Betty was very proud of her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She made sure
lifelong memories were created with each and everyone.
She is survived by three sons, Philip (Rosemary)Tentes, Edward (Judith) Tentes and Thomas Tentes.
Grandsons Korey Tentes , Ryan Tentes, Peter Tentes and Patrick (Sindi) Tentes.
Granddaughters Aimee Tentes(Steve) Brown, Jacqueline Tentes (Timothy) Hennessy.
Great-granddaughter Piper Brown
Great- grandsons Crosby Brown, Oliver Hennessy and Charles Wallace Tentes.
She is also survived by two sisters, Ann Henry and Charlotte Marquis.
Two brothers, Charles Flitcroft and James(JY) Buchanan.
She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as well.
