Obituary of Dorothy Walker

Dorothy Helen Walker, age 96, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, died on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Arbor View Nursing Home in Zion. Dorothy was born July 26, 1910 in Winthrop Harbor and has lived in Winthrop Harbor all of her life where she was a long-time active member of the United Methodist Church. She was also a volunteer for the local Girl Scouts. Survivors include her two sons William J. (Gerry) Walker of Libertyville and Eugene F. (Cathy) Walker of Springville, Alabama; two daughters Katherine (Don) Macier of Gamaliel, Arkansas and Dorothy Suzanne Smith of Pass Christian, Mississippi; thirteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F. Walker. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18th, at 10:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Saturday, November 18th, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Congdon Funeral Home.
