Obituary of Gloria Farnham

Gloria Farnham, 86, formerly of Rochelle, IL; Waukegan, IL; and Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away on December 26, 2022. She was born on August 9, 1936, in McIntosh, South Dakota the daughter of Charles (Charlotte Helgeson) Calhoun.

Gloria married her husband Bernard Farnham at St. Patrick's in Rochelle, IL in 1952. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church, Our Lady of Humility Women's Club, a Eucharistic Minister, and the Red Hat Society. She also helped with funeral luncheons at the Church. Gloria worked as a hairdresser for several years at Thomas Hair Salon in Zion, IL.

Gloria is survived by her children Denise (Jim) Hladnik, Cynthia (Dennis) Frost, Bernard C. Farnham; grandchildren, James (Elizabeth) Hladnik, Lindsay (JT) Williams, Joseph (Christina) Hladnik, Jordan Farnham, Taylor Farnham; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Bodhi, and Lio.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Farnham and her parents Charles Calhoun and Charlotte Parker.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park, IL 60099. Burial will be private at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria’s name to Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church.
