Marti and I were in freshman homeroom together at Lincoln and we were friends throughout high school.She invited me to have dinner at her home one evening after which she and I went to the all city Lutheran youth group rollerskating party. This is where she introduced me to the man I’ve been married to for 55 years. When we graduated, Marti was honored as the outstanding senior girl in Home Economics. After high school, we stayed in touch especially at the various class reunions. She was a true friend to me.
