Obituary of Peggy-Lou Lang
Peggy-Lou Lang of Zion, IL passed away November 12, 2022 in Waukegan, IL. Peggy-Lou was born June 7, 1930 in Waukegan, IL.
In Peggy’s younger years, she twirled baton and was a performing member of the Wanderers Skating Club. She graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School, class of 1948. She was employed at Dexter Corporation, Waukegan, IL for 27 years before her retirement, after which she spent winters at her home in Palm Harbor, FL. She was an ESO Great Lakes Alumni. Peggy was a life member of Women of the Moose, Chapter 859, Zion, IL and the Moose Golden Oldies. Peggy’s spark and enthusiasm for life was admired and enjoyed by all who knew and loved her. She will be missed profoundly.
Peggy is survived by her children, Michael R. Cain, Zion, IL and Candace (nee Cain) Sanchez, Schaumburg, IL; grandchildren, Daniel Lang, Zion, IL, Eddie White III, Carol Stream, IL and Mick Cain, Burbank, CA; great grandchildren, Angelicka Sanchez, Carter White, Haven Cain and Henry Lang; great-great grandchildren, Jayden Hall and Aubrey Hall.
She is preceded in death by her father, James P. Peck; mother, Hazel Stevens; stepfather, Howard Stevens and son, Dan Jerome Lang.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL from 11:00 – 11:30 am with the funeral service starting at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. A memorial luncheon will be provided immediately after interment by the Women of the Moose at the Moose Club in Zion, Il for all who wish to attend.
