Obituary of Kenneth J Hassett

Kenneth James “Jim, Uncle Bud” Hassett, 82 of Zion, Illinois went to be with the lord on September 23, 2022

Jim was a humble servant of God. He enjoyed playing bass guitar at church and even traveled with a group singing and playing at other churches for many years. He had many God given talents. Jim could fix anything such as cars, plumbing, electrical, masonry, carpentry, electronic, anything mechanical. He was an all-around craftsman. When he was young, he built and tinkered with many cars, hot rods, and motorcycles. In his later years he enjoyed building cabinets and many other wood working projects.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Wendy Belsterling; grandson, Jake Belsterling; Niece, Marlea Foster; nephews, Tony (Monica) Heredia and Esteban Heredia and many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Viola Hassett; sisters, LeeAnn Hassett and Carolyn Hassett.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Tim Eddy officiating.
