Grandpa Grandpa Grandpa
(aka grandpa x3)
is what our son Dylan would call Ken..
There was certainly a distance that kept us apart, but that did not stop Ken from keeping his heart close to us especially Dylan via his love language of endless gifting. Our mailbox would be filled with McDonald´s kids meal toys, lots of letter of encouragements, dvd movies, birthday and holiday gifts.. and my favorite.. newspaper clippings of cartoons and local news from his home town..
I on the other hand shared his love for gardening.
I definitely do not have a green thumb but Ken would encourage me by sending me flower seeds and pictures of his seasonal flowers in his garden.
We both love yellow daffodils. He gets to enjoy his from his garden and mine from store bought (Trader Joe´s)..
We are definitely going to miss our Grandpax3 but rejoicing with the anticipation we will see each other again someday soon
Ken, I can´t wait to see your heavenly garden..
Love you deep down our hearts...

Miss you Dad!
One of my favorite memories with my Dad is when I talked him into playing guitar with me in church a few years back. He was coming to visit and I talked the band into doing a bluegrass Sunday with the hope that Dad would agree to join in.
As you may know, my Dad was a bit shy but he agreed. I'll tell you what...between the fiddle, banjo, and Dad's amazing finger picking, it was phenomenal. My friends still talk to me about it to this day. Wish we could have played together more.
